Uzbek President accepts aredentials of Azerbaijan's new ambassador
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan, Rashad Mammadov.

During the meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that thanks to the strong political will of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, bilateral relations have reached the level of a strategic partnership and alliance. Mutual trade has grown by 40 percent, the number of joint ventures has reached approximately 450, and cargo transit volume has doubled.
He noted that an ambitious goal has been set to expand the joint investment portfolio between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to $10 billion in the near future.
It was also emphasized that upcoming high-level meetings will provide fresh momentum to bilateral cooperation.
